FORMALDEHYDE AFFECTING INDOOR AIR QUALITY

Formaldehyde CH2O is a colorless strong smelling chemical that is used as a preservative. This chemical is used in many household products such as flooring, laminate flooring, carpet, upholstery, mobile home, RV, pressed board, plywood, furniture, and insulation. High level exposure may cause difficulty breathing, sore throat, and burning eyes. According to the American Cancer Society formaldehyde has caused cancer in laboratory animals. Some products may have unacceptable levels of formaldehyde that is a health hazard.

IAQ Environmental offers testing the indoor air quality to measure levels of formaldehyde in the air. We report our findings in detail.
